Fountain City Town Hall, a non-profit community group,
was founded in 1972 with the mission to serve, protect,
and assist in the development of our neighborhoods.
The
emphasis of the organization is to avert problems by
actively supporting our residential communities,
advocating controlled commercial development, monitoring
city government, and keeping residents informed on
pertinent issues.
Through its Board of Directors, committee groups, and
the general membership, Town Hall monitors and addresses
City Council, the Metropolitan Planning Commission
(MPC), and the board of zoning appeals. Town Hall takes
a proactive role in working with these agencies, as well
as with other community groups, to press for sensible,
effective legislation and the careful interpretation of
statutes and policies to ensure the integrity of our
community.
