Please note:
Fountain City Town Hall does NOT hold any scheduled
programs during the summer months from June-August. Our
next General meeting is scheduled the second Monday in
September 09.

| David Harrington, Chief of
Daily Operations, Knoxville Volunteer Rescue
Squad will present the program.
We will learn about the
specialty teams of rescue squad and other
services provided for Knox County. The squad has
145 members and provide over 50,000 hours of
service to our community annually. They
provide public education for elementary schools
and extrication demonstrations for High Schools
to educate about the consequences of drinking
and driving. |

| Education Forum with
candidates for State Representative Bill Dunn
and Barbara Nicodemus and newly elected Knox
County Law Director Bill Lockett will speak on
the proposed Charter Amendments. |

Our guest speaker for the upcoming November
membership meeting is David Kitts. Dr. Kitts
has a PhD in history and is the chief trainer of
officers in the Domestic Violence Unit of the
Knoxville Police Department. He will speak on
“Healthy Relationships-Making Relationships
Better.” Also, please welcome our new
2008-2009 board members Charles Harrington,
Carlene Malone, and James McMillan. Returning
board members are: Robbie Arrington, Mark
Campen, Donna Currie, Charlotte Davis, Mike
Hensley, Chuck Henry, Joe Hitch, Michael Kane,
Carolyn Riggs, Jamie Rowe, Kelly Scott, and Dr.
Jim Tumblin. The Town Hall officers for
2008-2009 will be announced at the membership
meeting. |

| FCTH general meeting is held
at the Fountain City Lake, the program is a
choral presentation and tree lighting event.
Hot chocolate and cookies are served in the open
air, come dressed warm. |
