| September 13, 2010 - Proper Disposal of Unwanted Medications |
Welcome back to Fountain City Town Hall! We start our monthly meetings with a visit from KPD Officer Craig McNew who will provide us with information about "unwanted medicine collection" events during the year as well as the dangers of disposal of medicines and over the counter products entering our water supply by being flushed or poured down drains.
If you have been waiting for an opportunity to dispose of your unwanted/expired medications close to home, now is your opportunity! BRING UNWANTED OR EXPIRED PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AND OVER THE COUNTER OUT OF DATE ITEMS SUCH AS SUNSCREEN, FIRST AID OINTMENTS AND HYDROCORTISONE CREAMS AND OINTMENTS FOR THE OFFICER TO DISPOSE OF PROPERLY.
Also at the September meeting, the nominating committee will give a report about the nominees for board members for the 2010-2011 Town Hall Board. Further nominations may be made from the floor at the September meeting and/or submitted to a current board member before Thursday, September 23, 2010. All nominees must be current members of Town Hall.
Remember to renew your FCTH membership dues now! Dues are $10.00 per year per household, individual or organization and may be given to Charlotte Davis, our treasurer, at the meeting. |
